What We Cover

When our technician arrives for your Pool School session, you’ll get hands-on, in-person instruction including:

• Equipment walkthrough: We’ll go step-by-step through your pump, filter, heater (if present), automation systems, controls, and any special features you have (e.g., salt systems, LED lighting, waterfalls, etc.).
• Water chemistry explained: Learn the fundamentals of pH, alkalinity, sanitizer levels, stabilizer, and how they interact. We show you how to test the water, interpret the results, and make safe adjustments.
• Routine maintenance schedule: We’ll teach you how often to backwash or clean the filter, how to inspect and clean skimmers and baskets, when to vacuum or brush the pool, and seasonal to-do’s.
• Troubleshooting basics: We’ll cover common issues (cloudy water, algae growth, pump noise, heater not firing) and what to check before calling for service.
• Hands-on practice: You’ll try the controls yourself, ask questions in real time, and gain confidence in managing your system.
